Sherlock Holmes

Grab your Deerstalker and join The Langham, London on a quest to retrace the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes.

The Langham was frequented by the cream of Victorian society and lays claim to being instrumental in the creation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous character, Sherlock Holmes.

The Langham was immortalised in writing by Conan Doyle using it as the setting for several Sherlock Holmes stories, including “A Scandal in Bohemia”. In the book, the central character Count Von Kramm, was asked by Sherlock Holmes where he was staying, and the Count informs him, “you will find me at The Langham, under the name of Count Von Kramm.”
