Wedding Receptions
With the ability to host weddings for all religions as well as civil partnerships, The Langham boasts caterers to accommodate different food requests and needs including Kosher and Halal for any sized party in its decadent reception rooms.
Since the late nineteenth century, the Langham’s Grand Ballroom has been a legendary venue for lavish celebrations when it was tradition to lay a bridal red carpet across Langham Place from All Soul’s Church to the hotel’s doorstep. This Grade I listed space has now been lovingly restored with subtle touches, enhancing the delicate period details that echo its past. Authentic elements have been preserved from the dramatic renaissance pillars to the sparkling chandeliers and the fine hand-painted decorative detailing.
The Grand Ballroom comfortably accommodates up to 375 for a reception or 280 for a seated dinner. Immediately adjoining the Grand Ballroom is a newly created pre-function space The Portland Foyer, which accommodates 200 for a delightful champagne reception before guests are seated for dinner.
In Spring 2011, The Grand Ballroom’s elaborately draped windows, will open on to a terrace overlooking a tranquil courtyard – known as The Middleton Garden, one of the oldest private gardens in London dating back to the mid-eighteenth century.
Additionally small wedding parties can have exclusive hire of the glamorous David Collin’s designed Landau restaurant. For a more discreet event, The Landau’s private dining room Postillion is available for up to 16 persons. Since its refurbishment, The Langham now has 380 elegant rooms in which to accommodate guests.
