The Langham, London is offering a celebratory afternoon tea to commemorate the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William to Kate Middleton.

Best London Afternoon Tea 2010’ award by the Tea Guild.
Joining in the national celebrations in the month leading up to the Royal Wedding in London on Friday, 29 April 2011, Cherish Finden, the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef, has created delectable savoury and pastry treats for ‘Tea Royale’, which will be served in Palm Court for the entire month of April.
This indulgent afternoon tea captures the spirit and enchantment of a Royal Wedding with many tempting delights such as:
Freshly made finger sandwiches including:
Lobster and cucumber with fennel pollen;
Scottish salmon poached in pink Champagne with green peppercorns;
Castle of Mey beef sirloin with horseradish.
Delicate speciality pastries, scones and desserts including:
Westminster Abbey chocolate cake;
Apricot and raspberry Royal Crown;
Royal Champagne jelly;
Warm wild lavender and honey scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry preserve.
Tea Royale is priced at £51.50 per person, inclusive of a glass of Champagne Laurent-Perrier NV to toast the happy couple, and is available from 1-30 April 2011 inclusive.
The Langham, London has a long connection with the British Royal family, being originally opened in 1865 by Prince William's ancestor, HRH The Prince of Wales, later HM King Edward VII. As Europe's first ‘Grand Hotel’, The Langham, was London’s first grand hotel serving afternoon tea and thus gained its reputation as being the birth place of the afternoon tea tradition.
