January 2009 : St.Valentine's Day this year will be one to remember at The Langham, London and its destination restaurant, The Landau. As well as a dinner package incorporating one of the largest hotel suites in London and The Landau's intimate private booth for two, the restaurant is offering a delicious 6 course menu by chef Andrew Turner as well as a luxurious lucky draw.

Andrew Turner was one of the first British chefs to revolutionize traditional dining with the launch of his New York inspired grazing menus. Andrew's menu for dinner on Valentine's Day follows this same revolutionary thinking. Priced at £85 per person, the six-course menu below includes a glass of Laurent-Perrier Rose Champagne and a pink rose for the lady.

Seared Orkney scallop with cepes and lie de vin
Slow cooked fillet of lamb and mutton pudding, artichokes and spinach

Every couple dining in the restaurant on St. Valentine's day will be entered into a competition (to be drawn at 10pm) to win that night's accommodation in one of The Langham, London's luxurious suites - a prize valued at almost £1,000. Each couple will, however, be required to show their toothbrushes upon arrival, to ensure the seriousness of their intent!

Finally, for those whom nothing but the ultimate in grandeur and romance will suffice, the restaurant and hotel are offering the 'Infinite Romance' package. The couple that books this will begin the evening with a glass of vintage Bollinger '96 champagne in the Artesian bar, followed by the 6 course menu served in The Landau's completely private booth for two and accompanied by a selection of the restaurant's cellars finest wines. The evening will end in the hotel's famous Infinity Suite. Overlooking All Souls Church and with wonderfully high ceilings, this is arguably the finest hotel suite in London. The master bedroom features an inviting four-poster bed and two dressing rooms. The suite is also noteworthy for a magnificent infinity bath, which offers the sublime relaxation of a spa in your room. A champagne breakfast and late check-out at 3pm the next day are the perfect final touches to those who wish to take the ultimate advantage of St.Valentine's Day falling on a Saturday. This package is priced at £3,800, representing a saving of approximately 30% on the normal price, and a nod to the hotel's commitment to romance.
