Mothers of brides-to-be may be wondering how to dress for their daughter's big day.

Wedding receptions are seen by many to be the perfect chance to get glamorous for the day and why should the bride's mother miss out?

Fiona Wellins, marketing manager at Colour Me Beautiful, said the fascinator has become a "very popular" look, as not everyone likes to wear a hat.

She also suggested that mothers should splash out on a new handbag that can hold all the necessities they will need during the day – especially the tissues.

The Wedding Planner School recently stated that lace will be popular at weddings this year, following the example set in last year's royal wedding.

Those who have not yet finalised any wedding packages for their nuptials may want to consider holding the event in an ultra sophisticated 5 star hotel like The Langham.

Newlyweds can wake up after their first night as husband and wife and will be in the perfect location for a short trip to the airport so they can get their honeymoon started.
