Brides could check out alternative weddings in London
Wedding reception
Brides-to-be may like to head to London for a day of shopping with their hens before their wedding and find a unique dress or other ideas for their big day at the Alternative Wedding Fair.
The event has just announced that it has moved from Islington to the Piccadilly Institute and could provide the ideal excuse needed to check out venues for a wedding reception in London.
Engaged couples who are not after all the traditional wedding trimmings may find the event particularly appealing.
Creator of the fair Heidi Thompson recently tried the idea in St. Ives and it proved to be successful.
"Unlike most wedding fair organisers, I am screening each potential exhibitor to make sure they fit into the 'outside-the-box' theme of the fair," she added.
Once a bride-to-be and her hens have explored the shops of London and the Piccadilly Institute, they may want to spoil themselves with dinner at Roux at The Landau and a night at a five-star hotel, such as The Langham.
