Youngsters can see theatre productions for free during Kids Week

Due to popular demand, Kids Week, which lets children seetheatre shows for free and attend workshops,has been extended untilSeptember 3rd.

The event will be running for the whole of the summer holidaysand parents could drop their children off to a dancing or singingworkshop and spend some time together indulging in afternoon tea.

The Society of London Theatre has been running the scheme for 13years in the hope that it will encourage youngsters to take part inand love London theatre.

Some of the shows that can be seen for free include The 39 Stepsand Blood Brothers by Willy Russell ?????the longest running theatreproduction in the west end.

Tamzin Outhwaite, who is currently playing Sweet Charity at theTheatre Royal Haymarket, said: "Kids Week is the perfect summertreat and gives children an amazing opportunity to experiencetheatre up close, and is now three whole weeks dedicated tocelebrating the best on offer ?????for absolutely nothing."

After a day where the parents have indulged in afternoon tea and the children have beenwatching a play at Kids Week visitors can retire in style to thefive star Langham hotel, London.
