Theatre lovers thinking about spending a Valentine's weekend in London could be swayed by the opportunity to see the stage show of a popular romantic film.

Ghost The Musical is currently being hosted by the Piccadilly Theatre and sees Mark Evans play the role made iconic by Patrick Swayze in the Oscar-nominated 1990 film.

Evans is joined on stage by Siobhan Dillon, who was a finalist in the BBC television programme How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?

The Daily Telegraph gave the show a four-star rating and said: "[It] looks set to keep audiences laughing, gasping and holding back tears for a long time to come."

Couples on a London weekend break may want to follow the performance with a romantic meal at Roux at The Landau or a spot of afternoon tea served in Palm Court.

They can then book in for a good night's sleep at a luxury five star hotel such as The Langham.
