Denise Van Outen returns to the stage in Legally Blonde

Theatre fans will be able to see Denise Van Outen return to the stage in Legally Blonde the Musical from October 25th.

After a spot of afternoon tea, musical lovers visiting London may like to go and see the show, which also stars Sheridan Smith and Richard Fleeshman.

Van Outen, who has appeared in Chicago and Rent, will be taking over Jill Halfpenny's role of Paulette this autumn.

Former Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson will also be making her West End debut in the musical, reports the London Evening Standard.

Legally Blonde the Musical is based on the film starring Reese Witherspoon, in which her character Elle is dumped by her boyfriend for someone more serious.

Following the end of her relationship she decides to go to law school at Harvard. Sheridan Smith, who plays the main role of Elle, has confirmed that she will be staying until January next year.

She told the news provider: "I absolutely love playing Elle Woods, it's been one of the highlights of my career so far, and I'm thrilled that the audiences love the show as much as I do."

After a day spent indulging in afternoon tea and enjoying Legally Blonde the Musical visitors can retire in splendour to the five star Langham hotel, London.
