A trip to the West End could be perfect for Valentine's Day

Theatre fans and film buffs thinking about spending a Valentine's weekend in London could be interested in the opportunity to witness the stage show of a classic film.

The Ladykillers is currently being hosted by the Gielgud Theatre and sees Bafta award-winner Peter Capaldi play the role of Professor Marcus, which was made famous by Alec Guinness in the Oscar-winning 1955 Hollywood movie.

Joining Capaldi on stage is an all-star cast which includes the Armstrong and Miller Show's Ben Miller, Olivier Award-winner Clive Rowe, Marcia Warren and Stephen Wight.

Couples on a London weekend break just before or after Valentine's Day may want to follow the stage show with a romantic meal at Roux at The Landau or a spot of afternoon tea served in Palm Court.

They can then book in for a good night's sleep at a luxury 5 star hotel such as The Langham.
