Francis Alys at the Tate Modern is set to wow visitors for thewhole summer, running until early September.

The works on display are characteristically modern, with anumber of multi-media platforms used for the ever-politicalpieces.

One of the displays on show involves a man pushing a block ofice through Mexico City until it melts to nothing.

Other works by Alys include When Faith Moves Mountains, the 2002piece, and Tornado Major, a significant new creation.

The Tate Modern exhibition is the artist's most comprehensivecollection at the gallery to-date.

Alys was born in Beligium, but moved to Mexico City in the1980s. It is here that he created a name for himself and generatedinternational recognition for his work. He still lives in MexicoCity.
