Five star hotel

Event: Loud Flash: British Punk on Paper
Date: September 24th to October 30th
Venue: Haunch of Venison gallery

People who grew up in the 1970s may like to find out more about the punk movement at Loud Flash, a new exhibition.

Five star hotel guests may like to take some time out of their sight-seeing in order to view the band posters, flyers and fanzines that will be on display.

Artist Toby Mott has collected more than 1,000 pieces relating to the genre and will be exhibiting these items, which also include objects from the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977, at the gallery.

Five star hotel guests will be able to view some iconic pieces by Jamie Reid, who created the covers for the Sex Pistols' singles including God Save the Queen.

Mr Mott said: "This exhibition seeks to capture punk's cataclysmic collision with the cultural, social and political values of the time and show the enduring legacy it left in its wake."

Propaganda material released by the political party, The National Front, in the mid to late 1970s will also be showcased.

After an afternoon learning more about the punk movement at Loud Flash visitors can retire in style to the five star Langham Hotel, London.
