West End Live entertaining families for free

Families in London next month will be able to take advantage of a free entertainment festival organised by Westminster City Council.

West End Live, which is celebrating its sixth anniversary in 2010, will feature performances from stars of the leading West End shows, while a number of musical acts will also be entertaining the crowds.

Visitors will also be able to explore the interactive exhibits from the capital's best museums, art galleries and cultural establishments, while guests can also sample cuisines from all over the world.

Chicago, Grease, The Lion King and Jersey Boys will all be in attendance while Love Never Dies, the exciting sequel to Phantom of the Opera, will also be wowing the crowds.

Among the museums taking part in West End Live are the V&A, the Science Museum and the London Film Museum.

Those planning to peruse the capital's fine assortment of museums may wish to set up camp at a hotel near Oxford Street, such as the Langham London.
