Opening to the public next week and running until August 22nd, the latest Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in the heart of London has brought together pieces from several well-known and other not-so-well-known artists.
Among the highlights of this year's event is Crash Willy, a work by British-Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare, which makes use of an old car to comment on the current economic crisis.
According to show co-ordinator Stephen Chambers, the provocative work looks like something "out of Wacky race".
Other exhibits making up the celebrated summer show include a work by infamous Brit artist Tracey Emin, as well as a monster made out of coat hangers by David Mach.
Should anyone be really impressed by the art on display, as ever a significant majority of the works are up for sale, though some are priced upwards of £250,000.
Meanwhile, Shonibare's Nelson's Ship in a Bottle is currently on display on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square.
After enjoying the Summer Exhibition at The Royal Acedemy of Arts visitors can retire in style to the five star Langham, London hotel, where they can enjoy the Art Aficionado Package.
