Those visiting the capital next month will be able to attend open-air opera and ballet screenings in Trafalgur Square.

The London event, which is being organised by BP Summer Big Screens, is an ideal way for culture-lovers to enjoy some free world-class entertainment.

Transmissions will be beamed live from the Royal Opera House, where the Royal Ballet is performing Chroma, Tryst and Symphony in C.

Visitors will also be able to watch exclusive backstage films and take part in exciting competitions.

Gates to the event will open at 17:00 BST ahead of the 19:30 performance, which will draw to a close at 22:00.

Families attending the performance will be able to bring their own picnic, although alcohol will not be permitted inside the park.

Other big screens showing Royal Opera House performances will be placed in Stratford Park, Canary Wharf and Woolwich.
