Monkey around on a trip to London Zoo
London family vacation
Event: Rainforest Life
Date: Until October 18th
Location: London Zoo
An exhibition at London Zoo could hold the answer for those who want to visit the tropics but do not have the time.
The Rainforest Life exhibit offers visitors a colourful – and likely noisy – insight into the delights of tropical living and could make for the perfect daytrip on a London family vacation.
Running since March 27th, the exhibition is a celebration of some of the world's weirdest and most wonderful animals and is also an acknowledgement of 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity.
Visitors to the zoo can expect to see a multitude of friendly faces, from monkeys to armadillos and sloths to anteaters.
There is also a Night Life area, in which some of the more unusual creatures are kept. People can spy bats, rats and other such animals in this enclosure.
The International Year of Biodiversity is part of a campaign to safeguard the natural beauty of the planet.
After enjoying a day at the London Zoo, visitors can retire in style to the five star Langham, London hotel.
