London hotel rooms perfect compliment to Aida?
Ticketholders to Aida could find booking a luxury hotel room is the perfect accompaniment to the historical show.
Originally written in 1871 for the Cairo Opera House, Aida is now showing at the Royal Opera House in London and remains as big a spectacle as it has ever been.
The tale centres upon the love triangle of Radames, an Egyptian captain, Amneris the Pharaoh's daughter and Aida, an Ethiopian slave-girl, with politics and social prejudice both heavy influences on the story.
With David McVicar directing, the show is sure to give all visitors something to sing about – McVicar has also directed classics such as Rigoletto, Figaro, Zauberflote and Salome.
Micaela Carosi plays Aida, with Marcelo Álvarez as Radames and Luciana D'Intino as Amneris. Nicola Luisotti conducts.
