History enthusiasts will be able to take in a new exhibition chronicling the Battle of Britain as part of a luxury London hotel break this summer.
The Explore History 1940 exhibition, which represents the Imperial War Museum's latest summer blockbuster, aims to give guests the chance to learn all about the events of the year which proved pivotal in the outcome of the Second World War.
As well as the evacuation of Dunkirk, the family exhibition focuses on the Battle of Britain, with a spitfire that defended the country against invasion a key highlight.
In addition, the personal artefacts of pilots who took part in the effort have also been placed on display, with these being supplemented by film and audio material.
Entry to the exhibition, as with the Imperial War Museum as a whole, is free.
Meanwhile, the museum is set to launch its new Battle of Britain book, which boasts 200 photos and posters, as well as first-hand accounts of the fighting, later this month.
